Budmat PV Systems supplied steel mounting structures for the largest project in the company's history – a complex of photovoltaic parks with a total capacity of 213 MWp in the Klaipėda region of Lithuania.
The investment was carried out in cooperation with our partner Elektrum Lietuva, part of the Latvenergo AS group.
During the official opening of the new solar parks, Budmat PV Systems was represented by Marek Wiśniewski, Łukasz Fiks and Andrzej Zygmont. The event was also attended by local authorities, investors and industry partners, celebrating an important step towards Lithuania's green energy transition.
The project utilised our flagship FWD2 support structure, designed for large ground-mounted installations that require reliability, durability, and precise assembly. The FWD2 system is made of Magnelis® coated steel, which provides exceptional corrosion resistance even in environments with high humidity and salinity. This solution guarantees long-term durability and minimal maintenance requirements.
For Budmat PV Systems, this is a groundbreaking project, confirming our expertise in implementing large photovoltaic investments in Europe. Thanks to our experience, advanced production facilities and the commitment of our team, the structures were delivered on time and in accordance with the highest quality standards.
As Marek Wiśniewski, COO of Budmat PV Systems, emphasises:
‘The project in Klaipėda confirms that we are ready for even greater challenges. I invite anyone looking for a proven partner for large PV investments in Europe to contact us.’
Łukasz Fiks, project manager, adds:
‘This is our largest project to date, demonstrating that Budmat PV Systems is capable of meeting the most demanding challenges. The cooperation with the Elektrum Lietuva team was exemplary from design to implementation.’
We would like to thank the entire Elektrum Lietuva team, particularly Gražvydas Martinėnas and Benas Valma, for their trust and excellent cooperation.
